Accessing Attendance Monitor

Attendance Monitor is available for all of your students at the high school. At this time, it is accessible through the web browser, but not through the PowerSchool app.

  1. Log into PowerSchool on a web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.).
  2. Select your student.
  3. On the left side menu, you will see Attendance Monitor at the bottom.
  4. There are three tabs available for you: Report Attendance, Dashboard, and Notifications.
  5. Select Report Attendance if it is not already selected.
  6. Click on the blue button (Report New Attendance) to report your child’s absence.
    1. You are able to fill in the attendance for 1 day or multiple days.
    2. If your child will be dismissed or arriving late, you are able to let us know by choosing “no” for “Is this absence for the whole day?”
    3. There is an explanation box for you to provide us with more information.
    4. Please remember, if your child has an appointment, they should bring in a note from the doctor after the appointment.

Dashboard
The dashboard will provide you with detailed information regarding your child’s attendance for both the daily and the individual periods (classes). You are able to see the breakdown of excused versus unexcused absences and tardies. If you have any questions regarding a specific class, we encourage you to contact the teacher directly.

Notifications
This is not currently used, but we anticipate that we will be using this by the beginning of the next semester. This allows us to track when we notify parents/guardians for attendance information such as excessive absences or tardies.
